Clean Energy
Tell me why the MNR wants us to feel proud that Ontario will have 10% clean energy by 2010... when we burn 99% of our slash piles from forestry in the bush...
What can we do to switch these percentages?

Fishing Regulations & Projects
Are the fishing regulations set up for long term sustainability, or focused on winning votes from unskilled anglers... I.e. Has anyone ever wondered why the 'slot size' for walleye disappeared in N.E. Ontario?

Hunting Regulations
The beauty about a democratic system is that we can discuss the regs, argue, and come up with some appropriate rules.
For example, how anyone could think that shooting calves is a good wildlife management technique is beyond me. One huge problem is that there is no sex control possible. How can you possibly control a population of animals without controlling the sex (or quantity) of the animals being harvested.

Global Warming
Who wants to inform us about global warming, and the expected effects. Sierra Club and many other groups are really concerned about this issue. They indicate that Global Warming could rapidly bring north America into an ice age, as it melts artic ice into the warm water jet stream... leading to a stall in the gulf current...

Aboriginal Rights - An Environmental Legal Tool
My limited time in Law School has certainly altered or at least expanded my view of Aboriginal Rights to hunt and fish ... The Supreme Court of Canada says that the aboriginals do have the right to hunt and fish. Wouldn't it also make sense that by implication of the right, the food sources must remain fit for human consumption?
Could be a great tool to protect the environment ...

Herbicides in N.Ontario - Environmental Law Students Association / ProBono Students of Canada
Overall Problem: The use of herbicides (a form of pesticides) in Northern Ontario has a strong potential to adversely impact the ability of current and future generations to harvest wildlife, fish, and berries.
